Ahhh! This blog is near and dear to my heart. Our son, Wyant, will be heading to University of Oregon. He's our last! Our baby! And as cliche as it is, I just can't believe we are here! Where did the time go?
This is also the last group of seniors that I know so many faces because they have hung out at my house or have just been in the same circle of friends as my kids. Either way graduation season brings with it a feeling of excitement and hope. The opportunities are endless and the world is their oyster!
As my youngest heads off to college, I pray for the same things that I prayed for his older sisters: to remember where you come from, know that you are loved unconditionally, that you'll make good decisions, listen to your gut, that my child will be kind and thoughtful to others, that you'll get a good night's rest, and, of course, to not only earn good grades but the respect of others.
So, to all you senior moms out there, I am walking your path right now. I know how the heart hurts to see them go but wants desperately to watch them soar. If you're looking for a great resource, I have loved following Grown and Flown. You can read the book and/or follow them on Instagram @grownandflown.
I'm a natural light photographer working in beautiful, southern California! I focus on high school seniors both young women and senior photos for guys and families. I photograph families + seniors all over San Diego, Poway, and Coronado and would love to work with you, document who you are today, and create memories that will last a lifetime!
P.S. I just released a self paced online course: Mastering the Art of Senior Photography. Check it out and grab a spot if you want to level up your senior portrait arm of your business!
Wishing the Class of 2022 the BEST OF LUCK in the fall and in the future! #GODUCKS
And before I go, please check out my friend's beautiful work! Rosa Clark is a San Luis Obispo Family Photographer. Her work is outstanding! On this current blog post she lets you know how to have a successful beach shoot with baby in tow! Enjoy!
