I don't do a whole lot of extended family sessions but when I do I always leave with a full heart. You forget how many love connections there are within a family until you see it unfold before your eyes. You see the Grandma giggling with the little ones, you see Grandpa joking with the teenagers...and it always hits me - the older and younger generations are not only entwined today but forever.
The older generations will forever be a part of the fabric of the younger generations in such a beautiful way. It my be in the way a story gets retold and passed down, in the way someone gestures, or the sound of a laugh that got carried from one generation to the next.
So, here's your PSA, grab the whole fam and get your photos taken. For years to come, photos will be the only tangible thing left for generations to hold on to.
