Family Photos + Senior Photos = Win

Updated: Feb 16

Mixing in family photos with senior photos is always a great idea! What a fun fall season this is already! I had the chance to meet up with this gorgeous family which included a high school senior and his friends and create a super fun gallery! We spent time on senior photos, then friend group photos, and ended with a family session all at this family's forever home.

If you are ever wondering if you and your family should jump into some of your child's senior portraits, the answer is "Yes!" You will love having this moment in time documented for years to come. It's a great way to celebrate this milestone and then share with the rest of the extended family.

The young men here brought their Letterman Jackets and their lacrosse sticks which tells a little bit more about them in the photos vs. them just being dressed in a nice button down and slacks. I always recommend bringing something that tells a little bit of your story to your shoot.

I also have exciting news! I have launched my online senior portrait course: Mastering the Art of Senior Photography. I created it for hobbyists and established photographers alike. If you are looking to get into Senior Photography or would like to level up what you offer now, THIS COURSE IS FOR YOU! Check it out!

I'm a natural light photographer working in beautiful, southern California! I focus on high school seniors and families. I work from Poway, to La Jolla, to San Diego and Coronado. I would love to work with you, document who you are today, and create memories that will last a lifetime! Book your session today!

Before you take off, check out the blog post my friend, Alison Bohnenkamp, wrote. It is a super helpful Fall Photography Style Guide! She talks about the best colors and textures to wear for fall photo shoots.
