Grandparents can play a very special role when it comes to raising children.

I had the opportunity to photograph a friend and her grandchildren the other day. What a gift it was to see her in such a special role that I know she holds dear to her heart. You could see the love for her grandchildren in her expressions and in her actions. That fact that she wanted a sitting with just her grandchildren speaks volumes. I feel that even though the kids may not have recognized the importance of the photo session on that particular day at their young ages, I feel as though I can guarantee that one day they'll look back and realize with acuity how much they were and are loved.
